Terms and Conditions of Design Print Shop Ltd
1. General
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Design Print Shop LTD. By placing an order, whether online, via email, or in-store (signed or unsigned), you are agreeing to these terms in full.
2. Customer-Supplied Materials
Any garments, paper, or other items provided by customers for printing are submitted entirely at the customer’s own risk.
Design Print Shop LTD does not accept liability for any damage, misprints, or loss of customer-supplied items.
No refunds will be provided for materials or items that the customer has provided, even if the final result is unsatisfactory.
3. Print Removal Fee
Where a print needs to be removed (whether for correction, reprint, or customer request), the process requires the use of hazardous chemicals that may pose health and safety risks to our staff.
A flat fee of £150 per print removed will apply and is non-negotiable.
4. Printing Tolerances & Imperfections
Customers agree to a 25% damage/misprint tolerance for all print jobs. This includes potential issues such as:
Slight misalignment, Imperfect positioning, Colour variation or Small marks, glue residue, or similar production tolerances.
These are inherent in the nature of custom printing and do not qualify for refunds or reprints if within the 12% tolerance.
5. Authorization to Print & Design Approval
Before printing:
Customers must approve visual proofs (via email or in person)
It is the customer’s sole responsibility to check that all artwork, text, colours, positioning, and details are correct
Approval = acceptance of these terms and all aspects of the artwork
Lead times begin only after final approval and payment
Our watermark will not appear on the final product
Design Print Shop LTD is not liable for any issues resulting from customer errors in approved proofs
6. Artwork Requirements
It is the customer’s responsibility to:
Provide high-resolution artwork (minimum 300 DPI)
Submit files in CMYK colour format only (RGB or other formats may result in unexpected colour shifts)
We are not liable for colour or quality issues caused by low-resolution or incorrectly formatted files
7. Refunds & Order Cancellation
Once an order is approved and/or production has begun:
It cannot be cancelled
No refunds will be issued
Changes may result in new charges and adjusted lead times
Custom-printed items are non-refundable unless they are proven to be defective beyond the accepted tolerance and cannot reasonably be reprinted or repaired
8. Complaint Handling
All complaints must be submitted in writing by email or via our contact form
Upon receipt:
We will acknowledge the issue
We will respond within 1 to 14 working days, depending on the nature and complexity of the issue
This period allows for internal review, consultation with relevant staff, and examination of order records and images, plus looking into other information
9. Customer Acknowledgement of Risk
By submitting an order, customers accept that:
Variations may occur based on garment type, material, and print method
Some design elements may shift slightly during print setup
Outcomes may vary from screen mockups due to digital/physical media differences
We aim to produce work to the highest standards, but perfection cannot be guaranteed
10. Intellectual Property & Copyright
All artwork and logos provided by the customer are assumed to be legally owned or licensed by the customer
Design Print Shop LTD accepts no liability for:
Copyright infringement
Use of unlicensed designs or trademarks
By placing an order, the customer agrees they have the right to reproduce the supplied artwork
11. Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment must be made in full prior to production
Late payment may delay production and delivery
Unpaid invoices over 30 days may incur:
A late fee of £40
Statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
12. Lead Times
Lead times begin only after sign-off of artwork and payment
Delays in customer approval or last-minute changes will affect lead time
Design Print Shop LTD will not be held responsible for missed deadlines due to client delay
13. Unclaimed Goods
Finished orders must be collected within 30 days of completion
Storage beyond this point will incur a £2/day fee unless agreed otherwise
After 60 days, unclaimed items may be disposed of or recycled without notice or liability
14. Colour Matching Disclaimer
While we aim for colour accuracy, exact matching cannot be guaranteed due to differences in:
Screen vs print
Material types
Ink or print process
RGB colours plus others
Slight variations in colour are not grounds for reprint or refund
15. Third-Party Delivery
Design Print Shop LTD is not responsible for:
Delays caused by couriers or postal services
Loss or damage during delivery
Responsibility transfers to the customer once goods are dispatched
16. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including:
Private family obligations, Power cuts, Illness, Supply chain disruption, Weather or Equipment failure
17. Limitation of Liability for Business Loss
Design Print Shop LTD will not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including but not limited to, loss of income, business interruption, missed marketing opportunities, reputational damage, or claims made against the customer by third parties, arising from delays, misprints, or perceived defects in our products or services
18. Design & Marketing Advice
Any advice or recommendations provided by Design Print Shop LTD relating to design, branding, marketing, or strategy are offered in good faith but are non-binding
It remains the customer’s sole responsibility to determine the suitability of a design or print product for their intended use
We do not guarantee marketing or commercial success based on any print or design work supplied
19. Proofing for Printed Media
Final proofing and approval are the responsibility of the customer
This includes checking spelling, dates, phone numbers, addresses, sizing, bleed, margins, and all other content
Design Print Shop LTD is not responsible for errors or omissions in printed materials that were present in the customer-approved proof
20. Repeat Print Colour Variation
Colour consistency cannot be guaranteed across different print batches due to natural variations in materials, machines, and inks
This applies even if the artwork remains the same
Slight differences between print runs are not considered defects
21. Gift Vouchers & Promotional Credit
Gift vouchers and promotional credits must be redeemed within the validity period stated at the time of issue
They are non-refundable, non-exchangeable for cash, and cannot be combined unless explicitly stated
Lost or stolen vouchers will not be replaced
22. File Storage
Design Print Shop LTD may retain customer artwork or files for convenience, but we are not obligated to do so
We do not guarantee the long-term storage, backup, or retrieval of any files or designs after the job is completed
23. Environmental & Recycling Practices
Where appropriate, unclaimed or unused materials may be responsibly recycled or repurposed after the 60-day collection window
We do not guarantee the return of such items after disposal
24. Automatic Agreement
By engaging with Design Print Shop LTD in any of the following ways:
Placing an order directly or through an authorised representative or third party (in-store, by phone, online, or email)
Sending payment
Approving artwork or visual proofs
Providing instruction, design files, or garments
Collecting or accepting delivery of goods
You confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by all Terms & Conditions outlined herein
If you appoint or send someone (e.g. a friend, employee, or agent) to place an order or approve artwork on your behalf, their actions will be considered fully authorised, and you remain fully responsible for the order, its costs, and its outcome
